University of Virginia

The University of Virginia is sponsoring a summer academy in June and July.  Interested students may inquire in the Guidance Office.

Monty LaBay Drama Scholarship

Seniors who have had one year or more of  Theatre Arts may apply for this Scholarship.

Rotary Club of Killeen—CTC Scholarship

Seniors who plan to attend Central Texas College may pick up a scholarship opportunity in the Guidance Office.

BCBA Judge Oliver Kelley Scholarship

The Bell County Young Lawyers Assoc. has extended the scholarship due date to on or before April 23rd.  Write an editorial on “What is the role of law in fulfilling the promises of the Declaration of Independence?”  (You could win $500 or $1,000.)  Pick up the application in the Guidance Office.

Texas A&M Agriculture & Life Science

Seniors who are planning to attend Texas A&M and enter the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences can pick up a scholarship opportunity.  Deadline on the scholarship is April 10th.

B.C. Hooper Vocational Scholarship

Seniors who have completed at least one year in a Career and Technical Education program may apply for the B.C. Hooper Vocational Scholarship.

American Council of the Blind

The American Council of the Blind of Texas, Inc. is sponsoring a scholarship for seniors who have documentation of legal or total blindness.  The application is available in the Guidance Office.

Delta Kappa Gamma Soc. of Women Ed

Senior ladies can apply for the Delta Kappa Gamma Society of Women Educators.  The scholarship is for one year and possibly four.  It is due on April 12th back to them so pick up your application today!

Columbia University’s Summer Program

Columbia University in New York City is sponsoring a Summer Program for High School Students.  They will be offering pre-college enrichment programs.  More information is available at www.ce.columbia.edu/hs.

Congressional Art Competition

High school students can participate in the 2009 Congressional Art Competition, An Artistic Discovery.  More information is available in the Guidance Office.  You could win a scholarship!

Central Texas York Rite & Killeen Masonic Lodge

The Central Texas York Rite Educational Foundation & Killeen Masonic Lodge Lamar Medal is sponsoring a scholarship for seniors.  Pick up a copy in the Guidance Office.

Texas A&M Camp ARCH

The College of Architecture will be hosting Camp ARCH this summer for students who have completed 9th grade or higher and incoming college freshmen.  Participants will experience working together in a studio environment just as professionals would in a design or construction firm.  For more information go to http://camparch.tamu.edu or inquire in the Guidance Office.

United Steel Workers Essay Scholarship

A Senior who is the son, daughter, brother or sister of a member (active, retired, or deceased) of the United Steelworkers Local Union 4895 may apply for this scholarship. Winner will receive $1,000 scholarship.

Morehouse Summer Program

The Morehouse Summer Program in Atlanta, GA will be offering a Summer Institute for African-American males entering the 10th and 11th grades.  Three weeks at Morehouse involves Creative Writing,  SAT Prep, Debate, Pre-Calculus, Leadership Development Enrichment activities.  More in formation is available in the Guidance Office or at www.morehouse.edu/projectidentity.

Lone Star Scholars Academy

The Lone Star Scholars Academy at Texas Lutheran provides students with a unique summer academy that allows students the opportunity to “try on” the college experience.  More information is available in the Guidance Office or at http://www.tlu.edu/lssa.

Oklahoma State University Scholarships

Seniors who are planning to attend Oklahoma State University can apply for out-of-state scholarship dollars.  Information is available in the Guidance Office.

Killeen ATPE Scholarships

The Association of Texas Professional Educators awards up to four $500 dollar scholarships to Killeen ISD seniors.   Applicants’ parents do NOT need to be members of ATPE.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

Killeen Educational Secretaries Association

The Killeen Educational Secretaries Association will award one senior from EHS a $500 scholarship.  Pick up an application in the Guidance Office.

Texas Governor’s School, Rising Juniors

North Texas will be hosting the Texas Governor’s School in Math & Science for high achieving rising high school 11th graders.  More information is available in the Guidance Office or on the website at: web3.unt.edu/tgs.

Globe Chapter of the ABWA Scholarships

Senior ladies with a 2.5 GPA may apply for this scholarship.

Metroplex Health System Scholarships

Seniors who are planning a career in the health care fields can pick up several scholarship opportunities in the Guidance Office.

Philip Murray Memorial Scholarships

Philip Murray Memorial Scholarships/United Steel Workers Dist. 13 is offering scholarships for seniors who have a “B” average and are either members, sons or daughters of members, or legal wards of members, of Local Unions affiliated with the Existence and Educational Council, District 13, United Steelworkers.

Killeen Association for School Nutrition

Seniors who have an average of 80 may apply for this scholarship.

Academy Day

Students interested in attending a United States military service academy may attend The Academy Day on Saturday, April 4th from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at  Tarrant County College, Southeast Campus, 2100 Southeast Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76018.  More information is available in the Guidance Office.

Texas Exes Scholarship

If you are a senior who is planning to attend the University of Texas in Austin you may apply for this scholarship.

Association of Texas Professional Educators

The Association of Texas Professional Educators is offering a scholarship of $1000 to a Senior whose parent is a member of ATPE and ranked in the upper half of their class.

Cedar Valley Elementary Scholarship

Seniors who attended at least one year at Cedar Valley Elementary School can apply for The Bernice and Bryan Gower Memorial Fund Scholarship of the Cedar Valley Elementary School PTA.
